My Writing

I  love writing about science and nature, especially for children!

I’ve written several articles for Yes Mag: The Science Magazine for Adventurous Minds, for children ages 10­-14, and I’ve also written three books with Weigl Educational Publishers: Cacti (Plant Kingdom series for grade 3, 2016), Southern Ocean (Our Five Oceans series for grade 5, 2017), and Land Use (World Geography series for grade 9, 2017).

I’m also working on more new books! Coming in 2021 will be a middle grade book about watersheds and all the connections between the land and waterways like rivers, lakes and wetlands. Coming in 2022 will be a YA book about salmon, one of the mightiest of fish. I have both of these books under contract with Orca Book Publishers.
